Re: Recap of Japanese F1 fleet
carclassic is not a dealer. The car was sold through Oakfields
It could very well be 028R. In fact, its almost identical to how 028R appeared at Spa in '97 |

GTR #28R also finished the FIA GT season at Laguna Seca in 1997 wearing race number '1'
It didn't race under any other liveries since then, so the hypothesis seems likely. >8^) ER |

I do believe that it isn't a photo of one collection. I think the cars were brought together there for a "shock and awe" photo to be used on the main page of a website or in advertisements. That picture is taken on the second floor of the dealership and there weren't any other photos on their site of those cars or any mention of them being for sale. Impressive shot though - and as Chris mentioned - it must have been taken quite recently with the MC12 being present. >8^) ER |

Bucialli PMd me as he was headed to bed to let me know that the user F48Koenig had posted this gem over on SCF.com today:
It may be a small photo, but I know I said "Wow" when I saw it... ![]() His caption reads: "Pics of the workshop of Iding Power, a Japanese Tuner, with some enzo's up and on the lift, and a darkgray F1 under the lift." This looks to me like it can only be the Tag Heuer F1 - which if I have not mentioned in this thread - is suspected by me of being chassis #012. This is the first new photo I have seen of this car in over a year, and the existence of the Enzo in that shot serves to show that it's a fairly recent one. The car does look a bit dusty and it appears to me that all the stickers have been removed. Hopefully more pics or info will turn up soon. ![]() >8^) Erik |

Iding Power is a Japanese tuner of Ferraris and BMWs. Look up the Iding Power F365 and you should find some photos/info on them.

Re: Recap of Japanese F1 fleet
Sorry, haven't touched Japanese in five years so it's a bit rusty...but, in conjunction with my friend, here's a better translation:
Next up in the contenders for ultimate supercar is this candidate, which seats three. For lottery winners only, it's quick-revving motor raised the standard [ either at this meet or for all supercars--not sure what the author is implying...but he's giddy about it!]. |

Note that your photo appears on a page from 1997, whereas the shot Bucialli found for us by way of another forum is from March of 2005. Both are sourced from the same website. I think he's already trying to get a high res version, more shots if possible, and more info from the website owner. I'd love to know that my speculation on the chassis number is right, but really I'm just happy to see that car is alive and well, and still in Japan. >8^) ER Last edited by Peloton25; 11-03-2005 at 04:15 PM. |

Re: Recap of Japanese F1 fleet
Hello chaps,
Some more info has come available..... ...but not on the dark gray one we recently discovered unfortunately. Still waiting for a response from that webmaster. No, it's a set of pictures I found the other day of an F1 for sale in Japan. I don't think it's a new one for us. Here is the set: ![]() ![]() ![]() It is for sale at Bingo Sports, http://www.bingosport.co.jp, view their 'Stocklist'. The ad is here: http://search.carhoo.jp/4155/car_detail1051000944.html Let me know if you can get more out of the Japanese than I could. It could very well be the car we have seen before, the one we think is either #010 or #070. I have been in contact with the garage to ask for chassis and other information, but they were unwilling to share anything but the price ![]() A whopping 200,000,000.00 JPY which translates into a meager 1,700,820.15 USD :22yikes: I have asked my contact to see if he can get more out of them, but no word yet from him. That was my good news to send you off to a good weekend! /Bucciali Last edited by bucciali; 11-07-2005 at 04:57 PM. |

Re: Recap of Japanese F1 fleet
Thanks ArchangelGTR!
![]() Hurstg01, I think that one, presumably 003, is the one we just stumbled upon earlier on in this thread. The dusty one at Iding power. Is that indeed what you were thinking, Erik? /Bucciali |

No - not at all actually. The dusty one at Iding Power looks to be the Tag Heuer car to me - #4 on your original list - which I strongly believe is chassis #012.
#003 is what the black one that hurst posted should be, and I haven't seen any evidence that it has left Japan, so we'll leave it there for now. >8^) ER |

Re: Re: Recap of Japanese F1 fleet

If you look at the entry on page one of this thread that's marked #010/#070, I think that the photos taken inside what appears to be a repair garage would be the same F1 that is now for sale at BingoSport. Certainly the four additional holes in the front bumper have the exact same pattern. When the car believed to be #070 was seen at the Matsuda breakfast meeting, there was nothing red in the interior either. It's hard to tell with the limited angles on the BingoSport car, but I am hopeful that the red we are seeing are simply a set floormats. Assuming that the year in the ad is correct and the paint color we are seeing here is original, possible chassis numbers for this BingoSport car are #001 (doubtful), #006, #009, #010, & #013. >8^) ER |
