Re: Recap of Japanese F1 fleet

I also think it is #070... (The car that was for sale at Bingo Sports (?))
Basman also posted some pics of it way back:

Re: Recap of Japanese F1 fleet

Another angle on what I would also agree is the car we believe to be #070:

I actually like this wheel - it works IMO.

Re: Recap of Japanese F1 fleet

I just found this very small pic of the F1 from the NEEZ stand at this years SIS at Tokyo!

As I think one could read a "70" on the plate, the car is most likely the same as this one:
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...&postcount=337
So the chances that it's really #070 are quite high...

Re: Recap of Japanese F1 fleet

Is chassis #013 set to make a comeback at BingoSports? It would appear to be so from this link:

http://www.wintel.co.jp/wintel/owa/p...e=119&in_div=1

Translating the text above and below the pictures:

Quote:
- ' 94 year McLaren F 113 car next few days due in!! * Tokyo showroom* Last date updated: 2008/06/12 (thu)

That 'McLaren F1' arrives, the next few days.
Warehousing circumstance, you publish detailed contents for the second time.
You'll find that link on the BingoSports home page right now.

If indeed #013, it appears to have lost its stripes, but I think we knew that from some previous images. Also, it would appear that someone has added a video screen to the interior that was not there in any past images that I can recall.

Anyway - we should keep an eye out for more updates.

Re: Recap of Japanese F1 fleet

Wow, full circle! In the images of #013 at Auto Salon the stripe was omitted, somewhere between being for sale in Exeter and appearing in Germany [the MD of the Exeter showroom was mulling over taking off the stripe to make it more saleable ]

It also didn't have the screen in the interior when I sat in it [loving the remote control though ]

Bingo!

Anyone seen this before?

Three bonus shots here:

One BIG problem though...

Would someone really have Murray's signature removed from the wing? I have a hard time believing that...

Re: Recap of Japanese F1 fleet

That big box under the 'hood' and the new screen in the interior definitely weren't there when Al & I went to see it in Exeter, and the GM sig certainly was - so, another Silver F1 with red seat inserts for sale through Bingo Sports.....

ETA - the fabled #010?

Art Sports have a new wallpaper of what we believe is #029:

Re: Recap of Japanese F1 fleet

Great find there Roger.

Here's a silver F1 spotted at Fuji Speedway around May 3rd, 2008.

Hard to tell from this angle which car it could be. There was only one shot where I found this.

Here's a shot I found on a separate website - #070 in the wild?

And another pair:

One more:

We've just got to teach some of these Japanese enthusiasts where the chassis plate is.

Re: Recap of Japanese F1 fleet

Now, how many Japanese guys does it take to push an F1 GTR down the sidewalk?

Scroll to the middle of this page:

More shots of #029 or possibly (the missing) chassis #012?
