This one has arrived here in the USA as of April 26th.
  This is not McLaren's car - just wears an almost identical livery. Still doubt that it can be registered here so someone is going to have to get creative if they want to drive it on the street. >8^) ER

I may be wrong but I am sure McLaren were adamant they were not going to make any street legal P1-GTR's so if not them then must be an outside company with connections

It's called LM, but it doesn't have anything to do with a Le Mans based history, it's more of a 'historic word' for a McLaren imo.
Is there a picture available from the VIN plate? Interesting to see if Lanzante takes a road-P1 and put some nice bits on, or did they take a GTR and strips some race parts off and some others geeks on. Looking forward to their 'press-release' with specs and details.

An article popped up on the Road & Track website with details on the Mclaren P1 LM. Not built to commemorate of course, but it does have a lot of nostalgic details that nod to the F1's history. It seems to be more than "just" a road converted P1 GTR; closer to a best-of-both-worlds effort much like the F1 LM.
