Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

Obviously old photos #042 during Carl Beal's ownership. I've moved the posts to the American Fleet thread.

I had a pair of them that were shared on Supercars.net forever ago, but most were new to me. Thanks!

From DUB Magazine back in 2004 - it can only be one car.

Thanks! Man I want to see that V12 LMR and F1 so bad...can't believe I missed them a few years ago when they were at Amelia Island.

I contacted RLL and asked if the two would make anymore appearances soon and they said BMW NA has no more scheduled events for it this year and they are waiting for a 2013 schedule from BMW.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

Pretty certain that #014 will be making an appearance in Monterey this year. These photos were taken about a week ago of the car after being dropped off for storage in Santa Barbara. I know exactly where this is and I'm only an hour away... tempting!

I assume they'll be driving them up the coast this coming week and I hope to find it while I am there in Monterey.

Three cars - rough estimate = $20 Million dollars.

EDIT: With the help of a friend, someone more local to the cars than I am went by the storage location to see them. He confirmed they are leaving on a transporter up to Monterey on Monday.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

Not in those photos.

I don't really know. Some early rumors suggested it would be headed for Houston. There's also talk of Irvine, CA. I haven't seen it appear anywhere since Italy.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

I have not good eyes. Someone can read the plate on Stroll's car ?
I think about put #052 on the registry. It's the only possibility for me.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

Jay sharing his F1,

http://jonbetancourt.smugmug.com/Car...8330&k=TtpVDPC

Long time since I,ve seen this car ........

This is not a boast by any stretch of the imagination, but I had a quick count up of all the F1,s that I have seen, got to fifty one and stopped counting as there have been cars that I did not know the chassis #, if I had the pleasure of going to Italy for the F1 owners tour, that figure would have increased by exactly ten more ...... not bad going for somebody who does not really go out of his way to see an F1 .

What I do feel sorry for, are those unfortunate people who have never ever seen an F1, or have any real chance of seeing one. Every time that I do get to view an F1 I,m allways extremely greatfull for the opportunity .

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

Anyone is privilged when they see an F1. They are so scarce, rare and expensive it sometimes boils down to pure luck to see one. We are very fortunate living in the UK to see a lot of them; same goes to the USA although the vastness of the country may mean the logistics of seeing one may be too much in both time and cost.

If those fortunate enough to see an F1, in any guise, should share the find for those less fortunate, as long as they are allowed to share the pictures....
