Re: Another Super 7
Super SUPER (7) work as always Mark. The larger tank has an awesome shine to it.

Re: Another Super 7
I am making a diamond tufted pattern for the seating surfaces. First I cut the pattern of properly spaced diamonds out of vinyl and applied them to a sheet of decal paper. Then I cut another set of diamonds, each about .020 smaller, and applied them individually to the vinyl already on the decal paper. (That is 262 pieces of vinyl per seat.)
In this photo the left (the seat back) shows the two layers of vinyl on the decal paper. On the right is the lower seat cushion, it has a decal I made applied on top of the vinyl texture that contains the red stitching that runs between all the diamonds. ![]() Here are the textured decals ready to apply.

Re: Another Super 7
Almost every post in this thread demonstrates some technique I haven't seen before. The seats look amazing!

Re: Another Super 7
I definitely need to go back and read what I missed over the last year of not being here!

do you ever get the feeling, that since one thing is detailed everything must be just as detailed!?

Re: Another Super 7
After I test assembled the lap belts by bolting them into the frame and wrapping them over the seats I found they would not lay the way I wanted them to. So I had to mount them to the seats and forgo the lower mounting points. Not a real issue as they were not even visible once the seats were installed. All the stitching and labeling is done on the shoulder harnesses even the ones behind the seat.
