actually, most of the ones under $2000 need work. the $1295 CDN one on autotrader.ca needs body work, the $1500 1992 on autotrader.ca says it has vandalism, and the $1400 1990 needs brakes and a windshield.

Ok whatever, my point was you can get a clean 1990 hatch/coupe AUTO for under 6k-9kCDN

mynismo

Your car is selling for $8719.21 CAD

I can get: an S14, a VERY VERY low mileage(60,000mile/100,00km) S13 with the rounded bumper, or I can get this beater ass S13 and do a swap/KA-T

You should lower the price man....

hmm ok let me get this u.s. to canadian convertion first
1 u.s. dollar = 1.45 canadian

haha ok... hey the dollar is stronger! hehe

Ok whatever, my point was you can get a clean 1990 hatch/coupe AUTO for under 6k-9kCDN
9k canadian equals 6k u.s. ...... ok.... 6k for a very clean bone stock 90 240. ahh what were you saying??? i was asking 6 for mine, very clean and tons of mods. what's wrong with that?

Your car is selling for $8719.21 CAD
that's bone stock dude... that's $5841 U.S. ... again my car is far from stock...

I can get: an S14, a VERY VERY low mileage(60,000mile/100,00km) S13 with the rounded bumper, or I can get this beater ass S13 and do a swap/KA-T
first of all the s14's are ugly, second of all you said low mileage for an s14 (95+) is 60,000, and mine is a 1990... with 71k. do that math... that's about half for a 95 with 60k. and it's impossible to find a s13 in good condition, they are all rustbuckets right now. mine is almost in mint condition... lil body work needed but absolutely no rust anywhere. i've never seen a 240 yet in as good of condition as mine... and the kbb values are for an avg 240 that needs lots of body work and etc. ... again mine's in great condition. also go ahead and do the s13 ka-t, but you're gonna have a badass rustbucket if you go cheap on the body. and anyway my target audience for the car is a high school guy looking for a cool car who really knows nothing about it. once he sees it he'll think its cool and for 6 or 6.5 g's he won't have a prob with that.

anyways im consistenly repairing everything on this car so it's in almost assnew condition... just checked the exhaust piping today and its a decaying a lil, which means i'll replace it with a catback soon. i keep up with it! also, if i would convert my car to a manual (waiting for the tranny to blow, could take a while because of the low miles ;-) i'm running mid 14's. a lil bit off from a ka-t. a couple more engine mods in there and it'll be just as good as a t.

1.S14s arent ugly
2. 6k equals 8xxx dollars or whatever. www.xe.net/ucc
3. 71,000 miles is still 110,00-I bet I could find a rounded bumper with that mileage or less for around whatever your charging.
4. Its not impossible to find a GOOD S13. Even in Canada, all the cars on autotrader are in relativley good shape, MOST with no rust.
5. Ive seen 240s in as good, if not better condition, right in my hometown. And theyre manual and 1992+
6. If your constantly repairing, it cant be in THAT good shape dude...doesnt matter how much new stuff you've got
7. What are your mods...I doubt an Auto can run "a lil bit off" of a KA-T barring any serious engine work

I was too lazy to take out my old quotes and such, so theres my list of rebuttals

ok ok... here's what i said about my car

also, if i would convert my car to a manual (waiting for the tranny to blow, could take a while because of the low miles ;-) i'm running mid 14's.

i never said my car runs 14's. i said if i convert it to a manual it'll run 14s. it runs mid to low 15's right now.

or i can upgrade injectors, remove the mechanical fan and line the engine with electrical fans, and a couple cheap mods and i'm in 14's. then i'll save the manual swap to get into 13s. they only reason i'm not doing the swap now is because it's expensive ($700-1000US). i'd have to buy a manual junker with a good tranny and swap in the wiring and etc. it's a lot of work i don't want to deal with right now.

it doesn't occur to you people that you don't have to turbo or engine swap your car to make it fast. i can make mine just as fast as a bone stock turbo with regular engine mods. of course over the long run it may be slightly more expensive but at least i won't have a big dip in my $$$ all at once.

my car is in very good condition, but things occasionally go wrong with it like any other car. it is 13 years old, doesnt matter how many mi are on it things will go wrong.

I am bowing out of this argument. WHen someone buys your car, let me know, so i can cogratulate them for not looking around enough.

yay double-posting

you said your car has a ton of mods. where? all i see are an exhaust, some headers, and intake, a fuel pump and some rims. nothing HUGE is it? certainly not enough to make the car worth 8k CDN. there's a PRISTINE 5-speed 1993 240 on autotrader.ca for $4200. that's $4000 less then your 3 year older copy, and with that extra $4000, i can buy me an RB20DET installation and still have some money left over.

what the hell have you got against RB20's anyways? if they chose to stick an RB20 in a Skyline over an SR20, that must say something about it...

agreed. ebay isn't good for selling 240s, there are lots of them up there going for about 1500 or less.

in ohio they are selling good, still not many of them here but the numbers are definately growing.

the tires and rims on my car set me back $1400. w/o those i'd look to part with the car for bout 4500. those tires are expensive..........

i can also strip out the sound system, shocks and injen if they are looking for a cheap 240 around 3500. but why would i do that, i love my car.

btw, the tokicos were 400, sound system is 900 and injen 300. headers were 350 + install, i got neons, and of course those ferrari tires. my car's running 0-60 in about 6.8, i just killed a 'cadillac' sts.

booya. those tires are awesome, highly recommend.

if i had to sell that car, i would definitely return it back to stock form, or take everything out that could be sold for someting, like parts of you stereo, and replace you rims, cus those will help sell you car, but won't really increase the price
