I'd like to see subforums. Especially one about Scratchbuilding/customizing.

hi, being one of the newer members to the forum, i think a subforum could be a good idea. it 's hard to keep up with new threads.
maybe as mental suggested.
cheers B :ylsuper

Indeed splitting the forum would be a good idea. Too many posts to catch up a days worth.

Am with Pman on deleting some of the threads - but, I guess there's a lot of work involved and who's to say what needs to go and what stays. But, then again there are the really useless posts which can go.

i think is the idea of sub-forums, is not a bad idea, but if there are going to be sub-forums, they should only be like, progress/how to's/ painting, we shouldnt get too detailed in the subforums, also it woiuld be hard to keepp track of making a new thread in the correct sub-forum, thus MORE WORK FOR THE MODS

Just a thought, wouldn't most of the questions someone would ask in 'General Questions About Modeling', have something to do with Painting etc? I think 1 questions page would seem enough to start with, and maybe add a Sub-Forum with something to do with customising?

In general there would still be plenty of other questions like Lowering/exhaust's/wheels/bodykits/sanding/Where to buy stuff etc etc

I agree that most questions will be in painting, but it will be easy to find from other threads

I feel that if there are sub-forums, there shouldn't be too manyt too.

Maybe we can have like:

General (e.g. new kits coming out, new kits which you got, FAQ, Classified, Meets, Contests, Shows)
Customising (e.g. Scratch-building, lowering, exhaust, decals)
"How To" (e.g. P-man and other's "how to" paint windows, polishing etc...)
Projects (progress and completed)

Just my suggestion.

I agree with most that a few* sub-forums should be in place, however it should not take away from the overall experience of the modeling forum as is. Too many sub-forums could be overkill IMHO.
