First of all, what model are you working on and how many decals does it have and how big are those decals?

And I will be putting decals before clearcoating from now on, but it might be a bit tricky, so be careful.

It requires care, both whenclearcoating and when polishing. Maybe you should just put it after the clearcoat and after the polishing process, to be on the safe side.

YES! You're supposed to mist on the first three coats of clear.

As if this hasn't been told 100s of times before, as if Shorty hasn't been here long enough to have read it, as if I didn't tell him to be careful when clearcoating. Sigh. Shorty, how many more lessons will you be learning the hard way on your own skin? This is getting pretty ridiculous. And yes, Dan here is absolutely right, it is indeed because you used too much clear too quickly. Might be incompatible paint as well, as I have no idea what you're using. I give up.

Well, it sounds a bit too late, but for the future reference, it's better applying very very very lightly for the first few coats of clear.

Keep the distance to the model at least 30cm or so, and spray by two quick strokes sideways. The surface looks kinda like a fine sand paper, but wait for a while, and keep adding layers.

I apply about 6 to 8 layers of clear. If you count two strokes to cover one layer, I spray as many as 16 strokes, and I still don't lose the detail. You can guess how light each coat is, can you?

Besides, you are using the same brand of paint for gun metal and clear, right? I think you still have a chance of recovery.

Post pictures if you can, and that will help.

Hey thanx for the help, ill remember that, but i already repainted my car already. I just put some Nail Polish remover on a cotton and just took the paint off, and just repainted the car, and this time i didnt want to risk it and mess it up again so i just got some Meguires Wax, and just waxed it, it came out pretty well and very... smooth. Thanx for the tip man.
