The DARKER red is probably more correct. The 89 San Remo was the 1st outing for Lancia's badly needed 16V head & to showcase this, the car was specially painted as a one-off in a similar colour to the Ferraris of the period. The pics in Klein's Rally Cars clearly show the car isn't very flame red at all.

Just a question: the black cover of the front wheels, did it come in the box, or was got from you in other place? I'm trying to get two of them to my Lancia 037 and I don't know where can I get them. Thanks in advanced from Madrid!!

Yes, it came in this model! Look in the pictures on my first post and you'll see the box contents.

For those curious to know, it was a c/f spat fitted to the wheel, usually for tarmac rallies, to assist with brake cooling. Lancia found that the design of wheel they used wasn't especially helpful at forcing airflow across the disk face & calliper
