Wouldn't call it rare. Tamiya reissued it a couple of years ago, along with the Sauber C9, Mazda 787B and Nissan R89C. Should still be gettable, but don't dilly dally if you see one.

i allways see tons of the sauber's... a few 956/ and 962's but i never saw the xjr-9 in our local shop...strange

Ahhh good old Tamiya.

I have exactly the same kit and decals, just haven't got round to starting it yet.

I suspect that Tamiya may possibly reissue this one again.

Well this kit is the original one from 1989 if I'm correct. Lucky for me I found one on Ebay with Silk Cut decals and Studio 27 PE. And this cost me €20.
