See if he can get a scan tool that will read the sensors data. Look at the Engine Coolant Temperature sensor and the Air Temperature sensor. When they are cold, they both should read just about the same. If one is reading a lot warmer than the other, then that is probably where your problem is. Drive up the road about 5 hours and I can look at it for ya.

Ask around. Lots of people that are happy with their shop are really willing to talk about them. Ask your local Better Business Bureau. They might be able to help.

I tried the 3 second solution on my '04 F150 and it took right off. Looks like I'm in the market for a fuel pump. Glad it happened in my driveway.

try cleaning your carb/throttle body which ever one you have it could be clogged with grit which is why it refuses to turn over

if you here a sound like it wants to turn over like chrrr rrrr rrr chaa rrrr chaaa rrrrrr most likley its just a dry dirty carburetor/throttle body go to your local auto zone and they can hand you the proper spray needed

another solution is you could have fouled and or dirty spark plugs... as well as fuel injectors once you get it started try some fuel injector cleaner (NOT THE CHEAP SHIT) get the good stuff from autozone (DOLLAR STORE) carb and fuel cleaner is crappy and watered down.

never flush always replace save your self the time

like i was saying about the cleaner earlier if the good stuff from auto zone can't clean it then you can hang it up and rest a shore and be sure that it needs new fuel injectors

A garage will put in on a tester and tell what wrong for small amout money take them less then an hour.
Then you know what parts you need, maybe cost 45 - 75 for small garage to test it .

Probably the crank sencer out of adjustment or lose furl injectors if u got fuel injectors
