Re: Yet another supra

I had another slow day at work so decided to work on the supra. The body is starting to take the shape I was looking for. With the body now a little bit wider. I would like wider rims but didnt find any that I like just yet so I started looking through my spare parts and came across a set of R34 rims. I took it and mod it a little making it wider in the rear basicly just added a lip on in and for the front I kept it stock. I didnt have any tires that was wide enough for it so I took some rubber tires from my brother old xmods and slap em on. Tell me what you think

Re: Yet another supra

Sanding blocks and sticks.

make your own using small bits of timber.
you'll need about a 2x1 inch flat surface for general large surface sanding and then smaller blocks for well, smaller areas.

you'll also want to nab a bunch of them wooden stirrers from starbucks, cut them into (multiple copies of) a point and glue varying grits (600 and above) so you sand into openings and other difficult to get into areas.
Another shape you'll want is a good 90 degree so you can sharpen up some edges on lips or wing struts etc.
If you really want a complete set, you'll probably want to fashion a few curved shapes too.

For what you're building where there are compound curves, you'll want a cylinder shape.
I've got a whole load of old 35mm film containers that I have fixed sandpaper around the sides of.
Tamiya acrylic paint jars and micro sol bottles are also a good diameter for this.

Re: Yet another supra

also, you should think about getting some of these or one of these if you don't already have one.

I also find number 12 swann scalpel blades very useful

Re: Yet another supra

So I woke up yesterday and got a nice suprise in the mail....

I waS thinking about putting the TE37 on the supra but its didnt look right with the wide body so I decided to use the other set.

Supra with 19" TE37

supra with 19" Kranze LXZ

I put the TE37 on a MKIII Supra i waz working on

I am still working on the body of the supra. It still need to be primed again and hit with some color. My next plan is to do a full rollcage and fix the single turbo set up. Please let me know what you think about my work.
