Nice Silvia. I was never good at cartoons. That takes a lot more imagination. I am not that creative I just draw what I see.

Hopefully you can get a digital copy of your scratcboard works so everyone can see it.

I used to be like that.Just keep trying you'll eventually get it.
PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!!!

I also used to do graffiti art(till I got suspended from school for "tagging" but thats another story...)
That kind of helped me in becoming a bit more creative

Hey, those are some very nice drawings. I was wondering what you do to them with Photoshop??? I also draw cars, but I never color them with fear of messing them up...

Hey Supercar_man

In photoshop I mostly clean them up. With the "green Rx-7" I used smart blur and it kind of made it look like a water color work.

I plan on doing engines also and then using them as backgrounds for my cars. This will require two scans per work and then using phothoshop to combine everything into one work.

I do not know if you read my post or not but, for the longest time I only worked with pencil and pen/ink. I now have started to work with color.
Color is so much better. Start trying some. Your point is valid "fear of messing up" The trick is to do your line drawing with pencil then erase with a gum eraser (neadable eraser) to where you can barely see it and then go over the drawing with color pencil basically an out line only, then I lay down the marker ink and finish with pastels.

You can find it at your local book store or better yet go to your county library and ask for it if they don't have it they will get it even if they have to buy it, trust me. You and or your parents pay county taxes for libraries to get books that patrons want.

those are fucking amazing i've drawn a few cars off the top of my head but none are anywhere near that good. i wish i could show them to you guys but i have no way of putting them onto the computer.

Asaenz , thanks a lot for the reply... am actually thinking of just starting but doing shading (with normal lead pencils). I have seen it done, and it looks good if done right. If that goes well, I will probably try colored pencils, then eventually markers and pastels.

Ok Supercar_man

You need these essentials in order to get good pencil drawings

-mechanical pencil with 2B lead get that from
an office supply store or maybe an art store.
-Paper stumps aka tortillions (hard paper wrapped into little joint looking
things) you get that at the local art store
-and of course your need eraser (play dough)

Use the stumps to do your smears or gradual fades. And have fine sandpaper to sand the stumps into fine points for fine work and what not
plus it cleans them.

I did not have the stumps for all of the mitsu. I had them for the front ground effects, which came out pretty well.
