Re: backyard special civic hatchback

The carbon is great! I always struggle with carbon decals. Looking good!

I like it! You got that spoiler nailed. If you haven't yet, I say go ahead and continue the cf decal to the tailgate as you mentioned.

Re: backyard special civic hatchback

time to dig this back out from the grave! I've always had this kit on the back burner but wasn't too happy with how the decals and smoke clear coat turned out so it stayed in the shelf. finally got started on this again.

I wanted to replicate the civic SIR-II's yellow interior together with integra type R yellow recaro seats but its not working too well with the red paint. I might repaint the seats and sidings to black instead. what do you guys suggest for the interior?

some shots of the smoked carbon fiber parts

decided to apply carbon to the trunk as well

that's about it so far. suspension has been completed and the moldings and trims have been painted. just need to work on the lights and decide on the interior and this should be done

Talking Re: backyard special civic hatchback

1 option you can do is repaint the center of the wheels yellow to accent the interior

2nd option you can go back to red recaros with the rear seats in grey , oem grey seats on those have stripes going left to right.......

3rd option i seen these blue recaros (prob DC5's) http://www.hondatuningmagazine.com/f...8c_engine.html ,and you can paint the rear seats the oem purple tweed color with door panels.....

thats what I would do.... see what happens, and great work on the civic also!!....

Re: backyard special civic hatchback

I decided to scrap the yellow interior and went with a rather boring black and gray interior which is more subtle.

finally completed this project! pics are here:
