Wong - when you use automotive paint from paint shops you tell them the name of the colour and the code and they mix it for you according to their samples (chips).

Steve - wow! Great subject.

How much did you pay for that and from where?

I've seen it for £70- at http://www.autosport-models.com

Saw one of them blasting round on a little parade at Silverstone in the wet it was totally awesome seeing the spray blast up everywhere, 2nd only to F1 cars.

O.K.

It's been a while since I last posted about this, but had nothing really major to report or show, totally stuck on the chassis until I can get hold of some carbon fibre decal so no progress really on that. The body was firstly sprayed black and then a week later masked and sprayed green and then another week later decals added. No problems with either the masking/painting, quite a simple paint job really and the decals went on really well, the worst being the silver decals along the roof over the vent but they responded well to microsol and have virtually no wrinkles.
Next will be laquer and polish, then I will be stuck again until I can get some c/f decal for the interior/inner door section.

p.s. Thanks to Sennake for the close up pics, they are a great help as the sheet of pics with the kit is not that clear.

p.p.s Another future project hopefully will be the Scale Motorsports Ferrari 550 Maranello from Le Mans 2002 that has scheduled for release soon. Excellent!!

Steve

Looking good Steve!

I got to see one of these kits in detail on Sunday, they look absolutely amazing! LeMans Minitures have done a fantastic job with it.
