Re: New Recall

I received a recall letter february '08 stating that I may be part of the recall. Sometime during last summer I received a letter officially stating my '00 GTP is recalled for this issue. Didn't matter, I traded the car already last year.

Re: New Recall

just got the recall for my GT today. awaiting the recall notice for the SE. got the one for the GTX a long time ago. IMO this is a waste of time. this recall is not going to fix the fires...

seems to me that on the L36 NA 3800 they are not even changing the valve cover gasket like they did on the L67's. from what the letter said they are just changing the plastic plug wire holders. IMO its completely pointless to bring it to a dealer for that...

I've had my 97 GT for 4 years and I've had only wear and tear problems so far. If it ain't broke I won't fix it.

Re: New Recall

From the local MSP paper:

But I'm confused. Are the GTP's subject to the recall? I thought it was only the non-supercharged V6's? Thanks.

Re: New Recall

Recently purchased a 1999 GT, 3800 motor, 114,000 miles from a used car dealer.

While me and a friend were installing some stereo stuff, he noticed that it didn't look like the one recall under engine and engine coolong descibed here, http://www.cars.com/go/recalls/rclMa...=&fill=results about the wire harness had been done on my car.

How would I go about finding out if ANY of the recall work had ever been done on my car now? I read about a 10 year limit of free work for recalls, but seems like this one didn't have a time limit, if I remember right? How about any of the others?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

Edit:
Dang! Didn't notice this was such an old thread as it was the very first result in my search!
