Notice that since you gave a vague value of "over 1000" I said closer to 2000, not 2000. HKS had one at 1600hp which is closer to 2000 than to 1000. Then there is Mario's R33: http://www.exvitermini.com/ . Granted the dyno video is for "only" 1145 AWhp but the actual output propably fits the criteria.

Look also the record page: http://www.exvitermini.com/records.htm

You said modified to the max, didn't you?

s@#$ i hate to realize this but this is true, very true indeed, you see supra's were made to handle much more power in stock form than the skyline my bad skyline r32 for that matter so the supra is more powerful when cranking up the boost in stock form but when you balance and blueprint and build the internal's on a skyline ANY skyline you're bound to be getting more mad power than with a supra hooked up, but when you're filthy rich and you got both it's pretty much neck-n-neck, but i love skyline's so i'll go for skyline, hehe.

Yeah, that evomaniac guy's got some schizophrenia goin' on or somethin. Anyways, here's my humble opinion on the subject. I would obviously be a fairly good race. In stock form, it would be tough to pick who would come out on top. A great deal would depend on the driver. Furthermore, if we're talking stock Japanese supercars here, the NSX would best both the skylineand supra. As for a race between tuned monsters, that could depend. Yes a stock 2JZ can handle more power than a stock RB26, however, built RB26s are head and shoulders above anything else out there. The RB26 really is a marvel of engineering, capable of producing really ridiculous amounts of power. Numerous Japanese tuners have pushed well over 1000 hp out of the RB26. Some put out as much as 1600 HP. The 2JZ isn't capable of handling this kind of power. Sorry, didn't really stay to the subject. Just wanted to help shed a little light.
