Re: Completed: 1/24 Porsche 911 GT1

Sean I will afford a few critics to this project: can be it is not necessary to hurry up and complete a front part of the car? I consider that it is not necessary to use fastenings for a cover of a motor compartment from set SMS, they too thin and do not approach for this purpose. And why you have not painted a front lattice? Doors at all 911 opened a first line inside, instead of as at you outside. It is not precisely executed. On a rear bottom spoiler there should not be a crack. And why on 962C so rear fenders rear wheels strongly are beyond???? So should not be on model.

thanks to one and all for your comments, you are too kind. Although as a true politician would say it seems one cant keep all of the people happy all of the time

Sebastian,

I am a little confused with your translation so rather than debate it I will take it on the chin as they say.

Viccario,

thats a great idea - I will give that one a try next time, thanks for that.

Godfather,

thanks Rob - but really the Evo is going to be OOB, honest

No problem Sean, I should have added that on relatively straight sections of panel line you can use the scriber to go almost right through and then use a scalpel to finish off. I think I only needed to use the thread when negotiating more fiddly curves etc. And I used the scalpel to make the initial hole. It is really a matter of trial and error to see what works best!

cool, thanks again. I will definately try that on the next full detail build. Of course if it goes wrong I can blame you 100%... right?

thanks again to one and all for your kind comments

Re: Completed: 1/24 Porsche 911 GT1

What a magnificent build.
I followed your WIP with interest and was astonished at the amount of perfectly executed detailing you've put into it. And as you described a lot of your work, I really learned a lot from that build.

Superb stuff !
