Thanks. That's the sort of information I was looking to glean and collate.

Re: The Definitive McLaren F1 Scale Model List.

Anyone know if PMA/MC plans on re-releasing the FINA #8 and #9 longtail GTRs in 1:18? Have they considered making the #42 and #43 FINA longtail GTRs as well? Those are the only remaining 1:18 F1s I want other than the BMW dealer box FINA presentation. I only have a 1:18 Maisto F1 road car, and 1/18 UT Ueno, #38 Fina, and #39 Fina.

What PMA/MC plan to do and actually do never seem to match.

Re: The Definitive McLaren F1 Scale Model List.

I saw a silver 1/12 in a local model shop today, assuming it's the Minichamps car?

Anyways, it's a really good model, they've also got a smaller sized #06R but it's not brilliant, it suffers from the fact that it's yet another model that can't get the front lights shaped correctly, and it has horrible shiny gold wheels for a reason I can't quite fathom.

I'd dearly love to have the 1/12 car, but couldn't bring myself to spend £230+ on a model car, it's just not worth it to me.

Re: The Definitive McLaren F1 Scale Model List.

True statement about the cost of the 1/12 Mc, but I just had to have one. The one in the photo is the second one shipped. The first one was slightly damaged and this one had issues when it arrived, but I was able to fix them without any problem. It has completed my display and I am now looking for another place to put another case (I'll have to convince my wife). I like the way everything turned out and am happy with the display. Enjoy the shots. It was a long time coming, but I couldn't call my McLaren collection complete (far from complete) without having a 1/12 in the mix. Enjoy

Re: The Definitive McLaren F1 Scale Model List.

Just looking long list of BMW_Willaims reply, and now have to ask:

Has UT MODELS manufactured never 1/18 size these 1996 season GTR's:
- GULF number 2
- Marlboro number 2
GULF #2 is Suzuka 1000km winner.
Marlboro #2 is Zhuhai's 3 place car.
The chassis, if this has any matter was #12R.
Both cases the drivers were:
BELLM
WEAVER
LEHTO

I have allready try to find out an aswer for this, but haven't got clear about this.

I'm very,VERY greatfull for the quick reply of this subject!
Thank You!

Due to tobacco advertising bans in place, I'm pretty sure that the Marlboro one never appeared.

My 1/43rd Marlboro F1 is from Provence Moulage (IIRC) and has been sitting with the model builder for about 5 years still in the box, along with about 6 other kits of mine!

Of the Minichamps 1/43rd range, both the West and Davidoff cars are the highly collectable/valuable ones, as far as I'm aware due to the tobacco advertising.

Can't understand how Ixo get past it though.

No doubt someone will be able to answer.

Yep, seems that some of those are very expensive. Recent weeks I have searched EBAY quite hard and founded almoust everything what I have been wanted. And finally got the GULF 2 and Marlboro 2 GTR'swith tobacco advertising.

There is even on sale wihtout those Marlboro textes some IXO's, where the seller has the right textes with the car. The buyer just must to stick those text him self on the car and that's it, you have a rare Marlboro IXO on your collection. Of course the price is about 100$ with those self sticked textes but......

But really can't understand some of those prices, 250$, or 580$ about 1/43 Minichamps or Auto Barn models. The prices are grazy. Someway I understand the Model Work Shop's 1/12 price 1400$, but not those smaller ones.
Well this hobby is about how rare and wanted some model is, and the real fans will pay them self to sick to get them.
I'm a real fan also but I have somekind of limits, what I'm ready to pay...
