Big mods like that are cool, im talking about shit like the amber corners, the JDM taillights which only have a slight difference over the USDM ones .... I dont remember who, but I think someone saw something on ebay like "JDM windshield, fits all USDM cars"

Its when people start doing stupid small shit like that just because its JDM.

Lets take for example the headlights on my car. If one of em breaks, am I gonna buy another stock one? Depends on my funds at the time, if I have the money I would either get the JDM one piece or some projectors.

what i like to do is put on my racing helmet, then i pull up to a red light and right before im at a complete stop i lock up the brakes. (this makes your helmet jerk a lil bit and also serves to get the attention of the ppl next to you) now i look at them, then back straight, they will be staring for a while, then when i see green i gooooooooo

I prefer having a fast ass show car, which is wat i wanna have. Im goin for show first, just because i like having a car that people say WOW too. Once i can look nice and run 14's they'll say more than WOW tho, and that'll be nice

90% of the mods out there that are done to make your car look "uniqe" is just conforming in a different sort of way.. How rare are altezzas nowaday anways? Bodykits? Let me guess.. Wing West RS, right? I can't justify making my car look like a spaceship when it would still be slower than alot of newer automatic sedans.

Go over show for sure.. Show gets old, you can only change your car so much to try and keep up to date on the looks and the styles, and all the cars at shows are always the same things over and over. Go never wears off, it works.... You use it all the time, and I'm not looking to get attention because of my car, its all for personal enjoyment so trying to impress people with the flashyness of a 13 year old Civic hatchback just doesn't seem to make any sense to me.

I agree 100%... I would rather go fast then look fast, however Im in the mindset of both. Its not to impress anyone els, its for my own likes and I can look @ my car and say, I like that.
This is another reason I have NEVER bashed on a geo metro, strip it out, >800Lbs< and a direct drop in with a SR20DET... Still have room to wrench around in there too. Im sure most of you have seen the 10 Sec Chrystler minivan... How would you like to roll around town in it and tear back corvets? I dun know about you guys, but that could verry well be the most fun of my lifetime looking @ the expresions! Go over show anyday... Go first, show later. Im goin for a nice new body kit (there was a WW bumper on my car whan I got it) AFTER I finish my engine. Pluss around here, folks wanna look under the hood and see bling bling... Dont mater what ur shit looks like.

nah.. you guys are just jelous cause you dont have nice looking rides. If your car doesnt look good, then who cares if its fast. I mean i have both, my car is for shows, but i also have the GO to back it up. When im out hanging with my friends and talking cars, and someone pulls up in a beater POS and lifts the hood to show his 3000 motor wiht a 2000 turbo that can pull 9's.... yeah its impressive but the car is a pile of shit. And i get 10:1 comments about how nice my car looks over how fast it is and what engine i have.

Well I am one for a clean car. I don't care if they are show, but they have to have some go to go with the show. I am going for the sleeper look on my civic just because I don't have enough funds to do both. I would love a nice clean car with some rims and all, but I can't afford it. Everyone has different tastes and that's just how it is. No matter what you like someone will always like somethin diferent. As long as the car is clean I like it, but that's just me.

I say a mix of sleeper and JDM no crazy kits or steelies but a sick motor nice wheels some JMD touches here and there like lights and bodywork.

Its a JDM CRX stock front bumper with an aftermarket lip, that it, and it looks soooo nice, thats why i wanna do it on a HATCH because i like the CRX bumpers better than the hatch bumpers.....
