Re: Major problems??? Fuel pump or time for new computer?
I am almost certain that the pump is not cocked to one side i will check that though and maybe the fact that the o ring is probably frozen seeing as im in the garage with no heat and it is literally like -10 outside right now

Re: Major problems??? Fuel pump or time for new computer?
Well after a days work and alot of breaks from the subzero weather I got the pump in and car runnig like a champ!! However one question...If I used the o ring that was on there previously which was still in great shape, is this going to be okay?! Should I probably check the fuel pressure in the morning to make sure there are no leaks?

I did when I replaced my fuel pump, not having any problems so far.

You might want to fill up the tank and check for leaks around the O-ring. You'll probably be ok but leaking gas is never good, unless you like car-be-que.

car-be-que, that's funny stuff Wally!
You should have got a new o-ring seal with the replacement pump. Like Wally said, I would fill the tank and then check for leaks to be safe. As long as the old seal was in good shape, you shouldn't have any issues.

Re: Major problems??? Fuel pump or time for new computer?
There was a new o ring with the pump but i think the sub zero temps made it impossible to sit the pump in there.. The old ring was still in great shape and i still had to use a little vit of force to get the snap ring on i will check for leaks when i fill the tank though. You guys are life savers thanks for the advice.

Re: Major problems??? Fuel pump or time for new computer?
I would think that with OBDII vehicles you can be sure the o-ring is sealing- because it passes the vacuum check on the fuel system- if it did not pass you would soon have a SES light and related code set for bad seal in the fuel system. Just like a loose or missing gas cap would do.....
This should give you the warm and fuzzy feeling you need about your using the old o-ring-- I would have probably done the same thing under those conditions....
