Re: 2001 blazer /wont start
You are welcome and thanks for posting back how it went.
Yes is is unusual for a delco pump to go bad. How is the fuel filter? Any black stuff or rusty water in it? It would not hurt to check voltage and grounds and wiring to pump. And run a fuel pressure test on new pump. Good Luck

Re: 2001 blazer /wont start
I changed the filter , and it had black run out of it, so itmgot me thinking, so I cut it in half, it had very thick build up in it, iam going to say the new pump was working to hard,What is ashame, is I always changed filters, after replaceing the pump, just didnt do it this time, My bad for sure, I have not had time to do the pressure test yet.

Re: 2001 blazer /wont start
Thak coold have been some of the problem.
When a old pump burns up it throws out a lot of the black stuff. Sometimes it takes a couple of filter changes to get rid of it. Be sure to recheck yours after you drive it some. good luck
