transmission issue

Lubegurad red I shall be adding a bottle of that thank you. transmission is scheduled to be here tomorrow hopefully I can do the swap then. I also got a transmission cooler coming so I'll just do it all at once.

Wish me luck I got a quick walk through from autozones website glad I did there were a few things I didn't remember off the top of my head but it may have came back to me while I was under there.

Well there's been some delays with freight so now they say tomorrow so it won't be going in until next wednesday.
But on another note I changed my coolant temp sensor "the old one never worked" and now I got a code 15, also changed my level sensor but it still says low coolant this is killing me.

Does anyone think It may actually be the connector to the sensor? I cant find that part on autozones website anywhere.

It was slipping as you are describing for about a year before it went out.
I had it checked out once for slipping but Aamco said it was fine then (about a year before it died) My guess is, it was dying then.

Don't know about the grinding though.

I have a 2000 Caravan and I put a transmission in it 33 days ago, and now it's gone again. The grinding could be that the pin has dropped out. There is nothing really wrong with the transmissions...Its just that this PIN drops out and fails the tranny

Well probably the last update for this thread about 2hrs after i change my tranny i test drove it and it ran perfectly better than it ever has. I leave it outside of autozone and go inside to get some misc items (lights etc.) I hear a loud crash and boom my car is hit by a driver who tries to back up and leave but gets blocked in by a good samaritan.

My car was towed from there straight to a body shop where they were to do the inspection and tell my insurance company how much it would cost the damage was about 3 or 4 times more than what the car was worth. The frame was bent, fender, axle, and a bunch more stuff needed replacing so needless to say my insurance totaled it out. It is now going to be a nice little cube and i got a nice check coming for a little over $600.

Now I can either come up with $200 more and get an 89 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight Regency Brougham from my neighbor or save up $400 more and get a 89 Convertible Mustang. I don't which I'll pick yet but for now i am carless.

The insurance didn't even cover how much the new tranny cost which by the way was also thrashed but O well it had a good life.

Do you still have the car, or does your insurance company?

If you have it, take out the parts and sell them on ebay!

Thats too bad you couldn't get more than that from insurance!

My insurance company has the car I figured it wasn't worth buying back well actually they didn't even give me that option but i probably could have just asked. By now it is probably in the junk yard. I'll miss that car plus I had a transmission cooler that i had bought for it that i hadn't put in yet and now its just sitting here.

My next car will most likely be a manual and I don't know if you can use them on manuals.

O yea and i can't get that olds from my neighbor anymore he sold it the day I got paid. So much for "I'll hold it for you."

yeah hopefully the same thing doesn't happen when I go and get the mustang he is about a 30min ride away but as far as i know he still has it and is actually holding it for me.
