I want to finish something i started for 2 years ago. This : a Revell Grumman F 14 D Super Tomcat. For me one of the nicest plains that the US Navy ever had.

Re: What do you guys model when taking a break from cars?

I like to build radio control airplanes. Imagine a model that performs just like the full-scale prototype.

This is a 1/5 scale Nieuport 11 with a 60" wingspan. It has all scale structure and flying surfaces. In fact even the airfoil is scale. It also will likely have some of the notorious bad habits of the original like a weak structure, poor weight distribution, ineffective ailerons. But then, you know its scale....

Incidently, now my user name makes more sense. A "crate" was contemporary pilot slang for a poorly designed airplane back in the Great War.

I scratch build carnival rides and things that belong in a carnival, but mostly carnival rides. All in O scale, or 1/32 scale. But when im not building rides im usually out collecting rare kits!

Re: What do you guys model when taking a break from cars?

I bicycle and more recently, 1/32 planes. I have a couple RoG sailplanes and a Bucker Jungmeister.

Hey Mike Tayor, nice plane. What do most airplane modelers use for the bracing wire? Metal wire or thread? (polyester?, nylon?)

OLD SKOOL TONIOOOOO!

Awesome BMX,lownslow!

I too mess with bikes... In fact,i'm away from modelling because I can't stop riding my bike...Yes,in the winter... [:P]
Mine looks more like an "Mid School" BMX,but... Meh,it's a bike anyway

Before:

After:

OH,and two 'cool' things about my bike! [First one might get you guys freaked out!]
It was primed with Tamiya Primer!!

And,it's painted with 100% JDM B520P Vivid Blue Pearl from Honda!
Same color I want in my future car, same color is going on my Civintegra!

Ok,got carried away here...

EDIT: Pictures are links to my photobucked because i'm too lazy to resize
