If you keep the total wheel/tire diameter the same it wont mess up the speedo, if you get the right size you won't even notice the difference. I upgraded to 17's with a 235/45 tire the speedometer readings are the exact same as stock. I think 18's are perfect on a Max, theres not a day that goes buy that I dont wish I would of got 18's. Do keep in mind though that a lip on the wheel will make it look smaller thatn a wheel without a lip, most people think I got 18's. If the roads werent so damn bad here I would of went with 18's.:sun:

What size tires are you running with the 235/45 on a 17 causes like a .004% difference. Also how wide are your tires.

well, unless you are 100% sure that your tires have the exact same diameter as before, i would definitely get it recalibrated, the popo aren't gonna care if you give em some line about new wheels...as far as pricing, i bet they would charge at least $100

Nice choice!

I used to have a set of the OZ Sinfonias on my MAX and they were sweet. But those ones (antares i think) are way hotter!!!

what size are those? how much you want? do you know what the weight is? i was kinda hoping to stay away from chromies cuz they're so heavy, but those are bangin' rims, i'll consider it if the price is right.
and thanks skymax i like Oz's a lot and yeah they're antares, any tire recommendations? no hard feelings about the showcar max thread

No prob man, we are cool

If you get them in 18's the wheels would be 18X8 or 18X7.5. I would get a 235/40ZR/19 or if you want to save a little money go with a 235/40R/19. Unless you beat on your car all the time, you dont' really need the Z rated tires. Let me know what you think.

i'll most likely get the z-rated even though i ain't going 149+mph. any brand recommendations?

light, i can't justify spending 3K on rims. that's almost enough to go forced induction i'm not saying they're not worth it, but i can't swing it. thanks anyway
does anyone know what the weight is for one stock 95 Se maxima rim?

Not sure about the weight, but...

I like Toyo Tires. I have had them on all my wheels and I never had any problems. I find that Yokohamas wear much faster. There is a cheap tire company that isnt' known well named CHAMPURO. Their tire are honestly sweet, they come in a Z rated, and you can get a set of 4 new ones for around $300.

yeah falken is a little known company that makes good low-profile z rated tires for relatively cheap called ziaks(probably spelled wrong). my next question was going to be how long is the average life of your tires. considering i don't do burnouts, just the occasional railing of second gear for a nice long loud chirp. i only plan to have my rims on for like 7-8 months of the year.
