Re: lsd tansmission?

The L3 is indeed a d series tranny without a shadow of a doubt. They probably peeled the sticker off the old one and put it on. The s4c is a b16 tranny, and only came with an lsd in the jdm equivalent.

Re: lsd tansmission?

/confusion.

Now that I'm not confused anymore... still a good idea to take the serial numbers to a dealer and find out what they came from.

Re: lsd tansmission?

They made the tranny in japan as well, but there it was available with an lsd.

Re: lsd tansmission?

"B16B (Hydraulic):
S4C (LSD)

The transmission found in the Civic Type R is highly sought after and very rare. Its gear ratio's are identical to that of the B16A's but has a stronger limited slip and dual synchro's in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears. Expect to pay between 1000-1200 for a genuine CTR transmission because they're rare and well worth the price. Its also worth mentioning that these transmissions are Hydraulic type."

So this quote is stating that it does have lsd? I jacked up the car again, spun the wheels and they spun in different directions. This means that I have no LSD right.

Re: lsd tansmission?

Once again, no. If your wheels (pointed straight forward) spin in two diff directions, then you don't have LSD.

I'm still trying to figure out why both of my tires spin though...
