Self, are you thinking about installing the turbo in your 96 z28 or 95 z28? And would that turbo kit work on a LS1?

Not positive, but I believe it will with a few very minor mods. Why do you ask?

It's a single turbo kit.

T76's are nice but bushed bearing cores, which means a bit laggy. Same with the T78 and T88's.

Either way self the piping should be interesting as with a V8 you have 8 pipes to feed into that one small housing . What about going twin turbo with say GT30's. Double Roller bearing corse :licker:

Lag actually shouldn't be too awfully bad with my engine, it's a nice mate. Also, the piping is less of an issue with the single turbo than the twin, as far as fitament goes anyways. All you do is run a cross-over pipe from the drivers-side(I believe) exhaust manifold to the passenger side and send them both into a single pipe that leads to the turbo and intercooler etc.(from there it's like any other single turbo setup). With a twin turbo you have to run two pipes all the way form both sides of the engine to the intercooler and let's not forget that you have to stick another turbo in there somewhere Let's not forget how tight things are in the LT1 engine bay

Perhaps there is a replacement for displacement :frog: Anyways, I say go for it, besides, with 8 cylinders feeding a single turbo you shouldn't have too much of an issue with lag.

Hah, no, definitely not a replacement. It's a supplement though
