any reccomendations on what to use to de-sludge my engine with out potentialy killing my bearings

If you have sludge ,I would have stayed with conventional motor oils until the engine was cleansed....To do this slowly, safely , I use only 4oz of marvel mystery oil 500mi before changing the oil ,,,, when the engine is hot...

This method does work at a rate that will clean the sludge out and also help free the piston rings..with no engine damage...the most I would use is 8 oz. but at this amount I would only run vehicle a hundred miles then change oil..

Use of oil filters with high pleat numbers is recommened, and these would be ac delco , wix, and my favorite purolator pure one...

Cut them open and inspect for the quality of filter media, and how much sludge was captured... this will give you an exact accounting as to the level and amount of sludge is in the engine..this will help determine how often you need to change your oil...

give the oil at least a 30min. drain time when changing the oil...

2.59/gallon in Minnesota.

also i have nothing but good things to say about mystery oil. Also has anyone tried jb's line of conditioners? I saw some for power steering next to the engine restorer and am going to try both out but they are 10 bucks a can.

i was passing through Fitchburg Mass on my way to Westminster when i saw it. if i remember right the odometer said something like 8000 SO 108,000 minimum. the rear drivers quarter has some bubbles over the tire... but it really seems like a solid car

think the dealership is called Performance Auto Sales

Looks like a nice paint job, question is what is underneath it?

BTW, paid $3.18 today here in Socal. We are always getting reamed when it comes to gas prices.

Good Luck
