No it's not true.

The CRX projectors DO extend farther into the engine bay than the OEM headlights, and I wondered about that too, but I know there are at least 2 people that have the CAI's and the projectors, and didn't seem to have a problem with it.

I have a CAI and projectors. It is a really TIGHT fit but it goes in there one way or another
