Re: New Vr4 Owner!

i was looking for a pearl white one when i was shopping...but beggers cant be choosers when shopping for these cars, that's for sure. If you find a good one you gotta jump on it, color was irrelevant. When i first got my car i had planned to get it repainted pearl white...but I have grown to love my green quite a bit...it's just not a color you see very often. Plus, it's very good at not being seen...especially when it comes to the po-po...
so, now i think i'll just get my hood resprayed, lol.

anyways...my NEXT 3/s WILL be pearl white!

Re: New Vr4 Owner!

Nice car! And the offer still stands from the other thread...but stock just wont quite cut it

You need to come up here and cruise with me and all of my friends, you would have a good time...especially now!

Re: New Vr4 Owner!

^^It's not staying stock. However, from what I've read don't Stage 2 LSJ's tend to run upper 13's to very low 14's? Jason who is a decient driver pulled off a 13.9 as his best pass with his Stage 2. Just food for though. But in all seriousness, it would be fun to run them. Once I get a hold of Jason here fairly soon I should be around the 350hp area.

Re: New Vr4 Owner!

Heres some more food for thought...stage 2 Balts trap in the 102-103 range and with exhaust mods the 104-106 range depending on pulley. Also, Mzr in his stage 2 (stock exhaust) raced 701-3k tonight and he has intake, exhaust and a boost controller and it was dead even on a short pull from about 40-90. Keep in mind I have full exhaust muwahahaha lol

And a huge missfire for the time being

Re: New Vr4 Owner!

^Lol. I'm sure they are quite quick from a roll. How good of mechanical shape is his 3/S in and how much boost does he have it running? Only reason I do ask is because if he invested just a little little more and was knew how to drive his car he could hit high 12's...like I said, if he is a good driver and his car is mechanically sound. So are you planning on running your car at the track agian anytime soon? I would kind of like to take mine but at the same time I still have trouble beating up on this car. lol I still have yet to go up to 6k rpm's.

Re: New Vr4 Owner!

55k on the motor...47k on the car...go figure

It is in absolute perfect shape. All the work was done profesionally by Tintmasters, a very reputable company that holds the track events up here. It is one of the nicest 3/S I've seen. It runs flawlessly and it is HELLA FUN to ride in. I forgot to mention that it also has a Fidanza flywheel. And Sid is a very good driver, people just dont give the LSJ enough credit usually. Now from a stop it would be all over but the crying of course, but from a roll we are mean little bastartds.

MZR also raced my buddy's LS1 camaro last night with intake and exhaust and hung with at about a half car back.

And the next track event that we are planning to go to is on October 4th I believe and the track is in Sabin MN, just on the other side of the North Dakota border.

Re: New Vr4 Owner!

^Nice. One thing that would help your case out I think is simpily some wider meats. From a stop I would think 215's would spin for eternity on a FWD with some decient power. Right now I have 245/45/17 evo-z tires. They are incredible for handling but if it gets slick out I would be hosed lol. Here is a pic of them:

Re: New Vr4 Owner!

Thanks Yogs. How has the spyder been?

And Blink, I would think you would almost be better off selling your VR4 and buying a pearl white one than repainting it. The pearl white paint job isn't cheap by any means.

Re: New Vr4 Owner!

I have 245/45/17's as well.

The problem is there is such thing as too wide. Especially on a smaller car. Too wide of tires and he wont see any improvement because of tire bulge, etc.

215's are probably perfect for his car. 245's are another 1 3/16" wider. Thats alot.

Re: New Vr4 Owner!

^^Yeah I don't think he should get 245's but 225's may not be a bad idea. Just a thought.

You're in Omaha right? Is Chritine still around? I haven't talked to her in ages.

Re: New Vr4 Owner!

Yeah, that pearl yellow VR4 was hers. However, she was not the one driving it that night Chad was haha. She'll be back in town I think Saturday. She is in PA visiting some family right now.
