Re: 95 9c1 missfire HELP PLEASE
I changed the plugs in the cylinders that were misfiring ,checked the compression all 8 cylinders around 190.
I thought about the knock sensor but all the people around here[here where i live] say that can't cause 2 cylinders to intermintly missfire. I scanned with the snap on mt2500 scanner no codes and the o2's are reading normal.I thought for sure they would read rich due th the missfire . I wouldn't say it's backfiring but cylinders 2 and 7 are where the problem lies. Thanks again |

Re: 95 9c1 missfire HELP PLEASE
Did you use some carb. cleaner and spray around the new injectors base and around the intake a bad intake leak will cause a misfire, if the engine smooths right out you found a leak.
You could try moving the dist. a jumped tooth will be about one plugs turn. If this corrects the problem you know what to do. Use some white and mark the base before you start so you will get it back to where it was. |
