Re: H22 Prelude goes down

I believe its concept at this point, probably will stay concept, just so car industries can say "hey we can make so much better then we are making but guess what?? we won't do it" Ugh I hate that.

Still its an awesome engine, best case they actually put it into something, second best case the technology trickles down into production cars, worst case, Honda Fit.

Re: H22 Prelude goes down

Told you about the Fit thing. they are a disease. erradication is the only option.

I sure hope they put that into something. RWD legend with 500hp would be epic. Honda has proven they know how to make powerful engines (open-wheel racing) but seem to prefer to stick to profesional motorsports. They give us the econo versions and make up their own version of fauxboost called vtec.

Re: H22 Prelude goes down

maybe they'll throw it in an NSX in a few years, and then they'll have an NSX that's actually fast.

or maybe they'll make a honda odyssey gt-r or some shit. performance mini vans - the way of the future.

Re: H22 Prelude goes down

Haha I do believe there is a minivan with a Stealth TT engine in it somewhere.... The revolution has begun.

NSXs dont have to be fast. They handle like a dream, thats what they are supposed to do

Re: H22 Prelude goes down

The best part of the NSX is the styling and the exhaust note-better than a Ferrari IMO

Re: H22 Prelude goes down

i definately agree that the NSX has awesome styling and handling,, it's just that i'm a str8-line performance enthusiast lol. and this car doesn't give you very much bang for your buck in that area.

Re: H22 Prelude goes down

Got a pretty good top speed though like 171 mph. That is alot better than most cars under 300 hp.

Re: H22 Prelude goes down

not all hondas are slow theres the occational few that can run bit the prelude is heavy just like the del sol which would be a nice two door if it weighed 1000 lbs less

Re: H22 Prelude goes down

thats because lambos suck at autocross

Boosting the NSX ruins the purity of the car. The beauty of it is the unreal reliability, ease of operation, and exotic styling. I hate it when people put new wheels on them. It seems to spoil the look. Alot of people think that hondas can be fast until the see a cheap fox body mustang owner with very little budget rip a "super" civic a new one. Try running one of these "fast" cars on the street. You will never get enough traction off the line without drag slicks. And your still driving a civic.

Re: H22 Prelude goes down

yeah, but you still can make people look stupid from a roll. And yes, NSX is probably one of the top ten greatest cars of all time (NSX-R!!) and are one of the few cars that should be kept the way they are.

though i would still boost it

try telling that to tatII. he is currently modifing his nsx with just n/a mods, and put some springs and ce28n's on it. it looks like sex if you ask me imo. no boost for the nsx though. id build that thing a n/a monster and have it rev to 12k

Re: H22 Prelude goes down

haha they did it on this Asian TV show to prove a point. dont ask.

To answer your question GForce... Smart car. I win!

and maybe if I actually owned an NSX it would be easier for me to realize that N/A is better for those things. But I am a bit partial to boosting stuff as it is right now. But that doesnt mean I dont have an open mind
