Re: Best lowering springs?
the springs are 2.5 inches in the front and 2 inches in back, but i read that they are closer to 2.75 almost 3 inches in the front. but 2.5" would be plenty. so do i need a kit

Re: Best lowering springs?
It's funny b/c when i lowered my 1st civic with sleeved coilevers i had no camber issues at all...after that car got totaled i took off the coilover and put them on another civic...exact same car...and had camber issues :dunno;
so it's hard to say if you'll need a camber kit b/c every car is different even if it's the same

Re: Best lowering springs?
Roughly 2 deg of camber is bearable. So when you go to get an alignment make sure you look at that spec. I lowered my car as far as shed go (had no choice, short springs) and had almost 4 DEG! My car looked broken. and the tires would have worn bad, quickly.
Also those springs you got are stiff as hell! You basically limited your options to illuminas, or konis. Both of which have lifetime warranties and can handle a spring rate that stiff without exploding. They are progressive though so they wont be rock hard all the time. but when you load them up in a corner those springs become blocks, lol.

Re: Best lowering springs?
yeah, ive been on -2.5 for about 6 months now, now real bad tire wear.. just rotate the tire normally and youll be good. (I actually have to take the tires off the rim to rotate then diagonally since they are directional)

Re: Best lowering springs?
Anyone know the spring rates on the H&R Sports? Just got a set of them for a rear disc conversion, but can't find anything on the spring rates. I'm just looking for something stiffer than stock, don't need lower on my white hatch. The springs are actually for an EG I believe, possibly EK(they were pulled off an EK, but from the looks of the rear struts, they were for an EG, bottom is pinched in)

Re: Best lowering springs?
it looks like frodo has this setup, but how does GC sleeves and tokico illuminas sound? I'd have to wait a while though but I think it'd be worth it.. 1" drop for daily driving and slam it down for the weekends

Re: Best lowering springs?
every time you adjust your ride height youll need to get an alignment... that could get pricey real quick... but that setup sounds good. get it, find a happy medium that you like, get an alignment and drive the S outta her.

Re: Best lowering springs?
here a question I have been wondering- what size rims and tires work the best (overall performance) on these cars, and what fits when they are lower? how much do bigger wheels affect the acceleration, clutch wear, and gas mileage (for the different ratio transmissions)?
