do people in america know of the Porsche 991 GT1? just wondering because whenever people on this site seem to compare extreme cars they always seem to use the GT2, even tho the GT1 is a much faster car

i suppose people talk about the Gt2 more cos the GT1 is so rare |

i actually meant 911 as a general term. specifically either the 993 GT1 or the 996 GT1 (these r extremely rare)

you have answered your own question. They are extremely rare as a road going car. Most people havent seen one - yet alone been in one, hence they can't make comparasions to one......

i have a 996 it's no GT2 but...... if a flaw is the lack of car feed back to the driver i'd kill to drive a porsche that does not have this flaw, i was blown away at how responsive the car is and how i new what it was doing and if needed able to correct, i did some track time withthe PSM on and i was fast but did not have this "feel" that the mag is probably talking about, after 15 mins with the PSM on, i turned it off and took the car aout for another 30 mins, and the diffrence was amazing, i could drift the car in corners and knew what it was doing, like i said i have only driven my 996, but if other prosches have been known for better driver feed back and if the 996 is "lacking" it then i'd love to drive another that is not "lacking" in this department! :flash:

SHARP,
I think everyone here can relate to what you are saying. If you get opportunity, take a 993 for a drive. It lacks the pure raw steering feedback of earlier 911's, but its chassis will give you all the feedback you want !
