Re: 06' Kawasaki ZX-RR *somewhat detailed*
Awesome work! If this is somewhat detailed, I can't wait to see highly detailed!

Re: 06' Kawasaki ZX-RR *somewhat detailed*
looks really great to me! Is there any issues using this detailing set (and others from TS)? I haven't tried them yet and I just wanted an opinion on how they fit, if the instructions are good and so on.

Re: 06' Kawasaki ZX-RR *somewhat detailed*
I have the same opinion on the TS set - namely that its a great all-inclusive set, and could be used for anything from light detailing to all out superdetailing. You don't have to use everything in the set and you can mix and match the TS set with the CM pe set.
I did find the CM pe set to be better overall.

Re: 06' Kawasaki ZX-RR *somewhat detailed*
I agree to the CM PE set, also the fact that TS did not include front brakes whereas CM did - and 3 different versions.

Re: 06' Kawasaki ZX-RR *somewhat detailed*
Superb mate, great photos also, really lets us see those details! what chain have you used, could you post some pics of it too please, it looks very good, is it standard chain detail painted or one of those verey very fiddly individual link chains! how do you plan to display your body work?
Cheers Col |

Re: 06' Kawasaki ZX-RR *somewhat detailed*
That left side of the engine is not hard to mistake for a real bike engine. Those wires and boxes are really nice. Very good job so far. I too like the look of that chain.

Re: 06' Kawasaki ZX-RR *somewhat detailed*
Thanks guys - the chain is a kit item painted with dull aluminum and washed - heavily.
The CM pe set included a very nice chain - but in brass - which is not correct for this bike (it is correct for the RC211V though). And I didn't bother with the MFH chain set becuase frankly it looked like a giant pain in my arse. I will post pictures of the rear wheel and the chain close up later if you want.

Re: 06' Kawasaki ZX-RR *somewhat detailed*
Some updates for you guys – I am almost done with this thing....(I did buy a Ducati Pramac bike so that I don't get stale)
Here we go: The tank – with the wiring and connectors ![]() The seat and upper cowling – tried to use a flocking technique to get the seat looking like suede or fabric...don't know if I like it yet, but here it is anyway: ![]() Rear saddleback – see where the wiring from the gas tank is going? ![]() And here is how it all fits together: ![]() ![]() I will leave the upper saddle back seat and the gas tank off of the finished model to show the wiring Now on to the front forks: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We are mighty close to the finish of this one guys...
