Re: 2000 Blazer still won't start

I did, I pushed a pin into the connector from the wire end.

In one of your posts you said the pump ran, but short.... Connect the fuel pressure tester, connect the jumper to the pump prime terminal and start the engine. What does the fuel pressure do when the engine stalls?

Pressuer drops to 58-59 psi while running than jumps back to 63 when it stalls

Re: 2000 Blazer still won't start

That's normal, fuel pressure is ok, it's not losing fuel pressure. (I just wanted to double check)

Connect a volt meter to the pink wire at the coil, turn the key to RUN, (should show battery voltage). Start the engine and watch voltage when it stalls. (It should hang around 14 volts with the engine running.) What we're looking for is an abrupt drop to zero in voltage, then fuel pressure should also drop, then rise back to 63psi or so after the engine stalls out.

Ignition voltage, (on the pink wire) remains when it stalls?

Yes, pink wire has power when ever the key is on. I had the same symptom on a Camaro when putting on a remote starter I had to put a bypass on for the passkey. FYI I have Mitchall On-Demand and can look up any thing to do with the wiring.

Re: 2000 Blazer still won't start

I strongly suspect that passlock is causing the problem. If Passlock detects that the engine is started without the proper key, it shuts off the injectors, not the ignition or fuel pump. Here's a website that explains how to disable it: http://www.burnyourbonus.info/rec.au...thread610.html Please post your results.

Re: 2000 Blazer still won't start

Well the problem with that is that the truck needs to be running when the switch is turned off. The body control module sees that as a malfunction and disables the theft deterrent. If I know what type of signal the BCM sends to the PCM it might be possible to mimic it. I also saw an older post were someone offered to reflash the PCM to remove the VTD. I also posted about the PCM not being flashed for my truck and if it would run and idle. Thinking that I could possibly swap with another truck that has the same PCM.
