I hate to rag on you, but you really should put another fan on the other side and on the right side, then shroud it off good... that one with no shrouding is actually probably going to cool shittier than stock. Also where it might be convenient on the front side, when its not on its just going to inhibit flow.

EDIT: You know what? You gave me an idea. Well, more like inspired a new dream team of cars for Thor. When I get out of college and start my life as a well paid rich person, I am going to start hunting down a 2gb Eclipse Spyder GS in that very sexy purple. You know what happens then? 6 bolt AWD swap. The GS Spyder came with the 7 bolt 4g64, so the swap will be the same as the 6 bolt in a 2g GST or GSX. Heres my plan: the Spyder will get the stock motor as well as pretty much all the other bolt-ons that will be in the 1g at that time, plus a 50 trim. The 1g will get a built motor, tranny, and a 35R. Both will run link. How tits would that be? The Spyder would be an all around fun cruise car and the 1g will be a Viper eating track slut. Bahhh... a guy can dream cant he? I tell you what though, I am going to be passively on the lookout for a purple 2gb Spyder with a blown motor or no motor.

Build on hold until I get a good paying job, either in school or once I get out. At that time a full tear down and complete rebuild should be in order.

The Purple People Eater will ride again... January 2011 can't come soon enough.

I believe the fan will do exactly what I need, and surpass the cooling efficiency of the factory fan. Why would I need to add a second one? Only one fan works on the factory dual fan setup, the second one only works with A/C.

Oh and why wouldnt you just buy a Spyder GST to do the AWD swap?

Either way the motor in it is coming out and the GS is cheaper.... plus the 4g64 might be able to pull a couple bucks if it is in decent shape compared to a used 7 bolt 4g63.

Hey Vanilla, how is your fans mounted to the radiator? Did you use those pieces that slide through the fins of the radiator and just clamp down to it? Where did you get those at? I don't know what to call them and need to find some mounts like those for my fans still...

Well I bought the fan from Advance and it came with the mounting hardware. It uses those zip tie looking deals to secure it. But you can buy just the mounting hardware seperate from Advance also. Or you could probably do like Silvr said and make zip ties work.

Thats all the "real" ones are. Just with different ends on them. The fan has a little bit of play in it but its not going to hurt anything.

We made a dump tube that will blow out the bottom of the car...but it would be super pimp to run it out the bumper. I'll post more pics later. Basically I bought a flange from TiAL to weld my tube to. Then me and my homie got to looking around my shop to try and find something to use as a tube, and believe it or not we used a waterpipe off a 4g63 motor. Lol, we cut it as needed and welded it to the flange, worked out to be exactly what we needed.

But anyways, I wanted to post up pics of my expensive TiAL brand dump tube.

So basically the car is done minus installing the wideband and tuning it!
