i live right by a place where a bunch of rich snobs live. they only have a 1.3L stock. however it is a twin rotor Wankel. not sure who i raced, but im pretty sure it was a rich one. they are small cars, but you cant fit a good engine in that small engine compartment. and here's a pic of my car \/ ohh, and this was takin at my friend's house. and it even suprized me i won. he had a rough time getting off the line. so i guess i wouldve lost had he have been able to accelerate quicker.

Wait, we are talking about the new RX-8 right... I can't believe they are only 1.3L. Very small but rotaries are said to have unmatched output by relativly small engines. So you raced a new one and won. I def. wouldn't stand a chance. My car is a bit above average speed wise, but in no way could i beat a new RX-8. The ooooold RX-7's maybe, but hell no to any newer than around mid 90's. What does ur's run the 1/4?

ShIt! I believe you because iv'e been on pages with members of Grand prix clubs runnin around what u are. Some Supercharged and some naturally aspired. That's awsome though, glad to see you figured out a way to lose some of the Prix's pounds. lol Never really considered taking out the seats, guess it's always an option though. 3,390 some pounds is alot for stock.

Now all you have to do is figure out a way to chop off the roof and you've got a two seat convertable.

nice, i never actually thought that pickups were bad on insurance. always thought it was mostly exotics and luxery cars.

meh. whatever. so, no i dont think i want to chop it into a covertable. it would loose some major weight, but i dont think anyone that lives near here does a good job at that. i did the saet myself because it was really east. first, i unscrewed everything back there, ripped the seat out of the truc (there was no way in hell i was goin to be able to fit it out the side doors) and simply nailed some plywood to the new floor board thing i put in (also wood and not steel. saved more weight). then later carpeted the whole thing.

Scott, i started this thread, and obviously nobody really cares about the topic since it only got about three replies. So i rather talk about multiple topics if it could interest more people instead of leaving a thread dead since nobody cares about the initial topic. I go to threads where the subject changes ever 2 replies... check out the "ugliest car on the road" thread and you'll know what i mean. If someone wants to chime in again on what a GP could beat, be my guest

Grandprix92: do you race ur's at the track?

...What about an eclipse gt (newer style ones), has any GP owners raced one, or anyone who has a fairly good idea who would win. I think their quarter mile is relatively close? See Scott, the topic always comes back.
