Yes... Totally agree this is the best kit I never have... I hope fujimi will do the same for others..... specially the brake kit design....

Very nice job you done! As for the red stripe on the grille, try using a red paint marker pen - this is what I want to do (can't find red one at the moment) with mine.

Re: Golf MK V GTI & R32

Nice car and clean build. Great choice for the colour. Try to mask front grill and airbrust it, maybe it will work.

BTW: I heard the R32 got an engine? Does it?

Re: Golf MK V GTI & R32

Hi,

quick and nice built.

What makes me a little frown is how high the model sits.

On jelly_wilson´s model I think is ok, what he did, not much possibilities to place the (front-) wheels deeper in the wheel wells.

It seems to be a problem of the kit, especially the front sits rather high.

What´s your opinion?

My opinion is that I looked at photos of the real car and the ride height of the model looks spot on. Perhaps we're growing too accustomed to seeing so many modified models, especially on this forum, with lowered ride height and bigger diameter wheels/tires than stock? I don't see why one couldn't attach the brakes to the wheels and reconfigure how they attach to the suspension so that the ride height can be modified. I certainly had to do that w/my Cayman GT, the stock ride height on it was comical! I don't think it'll be running Dakar any time soon...

I agree with ZZ here...

the rims and wheels on the kit seem to be what fuj calls 'inchi up', a bit bigger then stock, but looking just right in scale, to the detriment of a slightly higher ground clearance.

Looking at my golf with crappy 15 inchers, the ride height is already pretty high indeed. It's only logical if you increase rim diameter that the wells will be filled and the ride height will stay more or less the same, yet realistic.

Nice model btw, jelly, try to pay a little more attention to details and it'll be a show-stopper.

Re: Golf MK V GTI & R32

Fujimi is really impressing me with the new kits they've been putting out for a year os so now. It's like their quality and detailing has jumped WAY up. These kits look great! And you're doing an excelent job on them. I think the ride hight looks just fine fo a stock Golf (rabbit). Doesn't look like it could be lowered much more without modifying the wheel wells.

Re: Golf MK V GTI & R32

Nice job on the R32 too! I also progressed with my twins, painted the GTI red, the R32 is going to be blue just like yours! Can't wait to see both of yours finished!

Re: Golf MK V GTI & R32

For the R32 where did you get the colour, the vw name is deep-blue-pearl, did you mix it or is it an off the shelf colour?

I have the GTi and 2 R32's on the way from hlj. Your ride height is not too bad as I have a real Mkv GTi and its not far off what I have. I dont think the suspension on the model can be modified easliy from what I have seen.

Great and fast builds.
