I think that's Nissan you're thinking about.. and it's called HICAS. It was on the 300ZX I think. Basically the rear steered a VERY little bit in the opposite direction. Real drivers hated it, because it would make the car do something they totally weren't expecting when handling at the limit. Matter of fact, they sell something called a HICAS eliminator now, to get rid of it.

Yes the FC's did come with it, but as someone said real racers hate that feature, I believe the 2nd gen Preludes had AWS as well, You could get either ABS brakes or the AWS but you could not get both..who knowns why..Anyhow the FD3S which is the latest body style of the RX-7 here in the U.S. pulled a .99gs in the Skidpad in the R1 trim, the Touring editions were not too far behind..

The part to prevent the rear steering effect is called the Rear suspension upright Toe Eliminator. I just sold a set to a customer of mine for his club race car.

Re: To all rotor-heads...

I cant help but read this thread and think to myself "do these guy really own these cars and not know how they work?" i have an 88 base now turbo, 88gtu fresh rebuild by me, 86gxl parts car, and a 88 vert all equipped with the rear steer set up. by the way its not fun and im in the procces of eliminating it cause all i do is drift. it is as simple as welding the rear control arm solid and welding in a few carefully placed braces. "for us who like to drift on a budget" ' or you can spend the 250 at mazdatrix and get the full eliminator kit. now im not claimin to be a genius on 7s but if you have any questions please feel free to ask i might be able to help you. check him out hes driftin.
