Re: How much freaking snow do you have right now.

Jesus Christ! I couldn't see anything that morning! And I had to work at 7 a.m.

At least I'm not in Tennessee today. I'm talking to my brother right now in Jackson and they got hit hard. He's alright, so is my mom. The last bad tornado there was in 2003.

Re: How much freaking snow do you have right now.

We're suposed to get 12-18 inches tonight. Its at about 6 right now. They let everyone out of work early and the next half hour was spent digging cars out and pushing FWD cars out of parking spots. I still have to go out and shovel the mouth of my alley so I can get into my garage

Its not so fun having a 2.5in drop and Z tires in this weather... but I refuse to raise my adjustables or buy some 15" steelies for some all season rubber

Again I hate you... I hate you so much....

Atleast your feet arn't cold and wet all day. Being a student and walking to different places on campus dosen't keep you warm.

Re: How much freaking snow do you have right now.

I live in the northern part of Illinois (Kankakee, to be specific) and we've been getting snow for the last two weeks.

I hate snow. I hate it with a passion. I hate it soooooo damn much.

I'm moving to Texas and am going to write for the Dallas Morning News. Screw this state. /dreams.

Seriously though, over the last two weeks, we've probably gotten well over a foot of snow, though that's all together (including partial melts). Right now, I'd say we've got 2 inches or so. And it's still snowing as I type this.

Damn. I hate snow.

Hahaha, that's even funnier...I just graduated from college in Tennessee, in Nashville. They actually got snow around that way?! haha. Yeah I know, I was there in 2003...and if you watched the TV there were about 4-5 tornadoes surrounding the Nashville area...it was super weird and scary

Dude, I'd be waring shorts and chilling at the park if it was 67 degrees. Currently I'm at... just a sec.... OH! 15 degrees. Now I just need an eskimo to come on and say he'd be waring shorts in my kind of weather.

Re: How much freaking snow do you have right now.

Here in eastern Iowa, we got 13.5" in 24 hours. Normally I like snow, but this year was different. I shattered the yoke on my front driveshaft (no idea how, it just let loose driving 55 MPH in Rwd) on Christmas eve, and didn't get around to replacing it since the last few years we didn't get much snow at all. Tuesday (day of the storm) I took my driveshaft into work to replace the U-joints and the broken yoke. I was driving my Beretta and got stuck once in town. After driving 45 minutes, but only 15 miles home, I parked in the street so I could shovel my "driveway" enough to get my car off the street. I didn't shovel enough because I got 2-3' off the street and then got stuck. I had to kick the door open to get out because of the snow. I installed my driveshaft in my truck while laying in the snow with no gloves (I figured no gloves was better then the wet gloves I had) and snow blowing all over me, and then pulled my car out of the snow. I shoveled a bit more, got a running start, and got my car entirely off the street. However it's now stuck till the snow melts, the floor pan is resting on snow, and the suspension is noticably longer because of the wheels hanging down. My neighbor came over to help steer the car for me while I was pulling it out, so I gave him my only key for the car, which I lost because I was freezing cold from laying in the snow and I just stuck the loose key in my coat pocket so I didn't waste time trying to put it back on the key ring... assuming I could have even got it on there with my numb fingers. Now I get to replace the lock cylinder... or replace the ignition switch with a few rocker switches. At this point, my clothes are either wet or frozen from laying in the snow, I can't feel my hands, and I'm pissed off that I lost my key. After puting my shovel back in the garage, I couldn't get the door to shut because the damn snow kept blowing in front of the sensors that keep the door from closing if something's blocking it. The next day I got my truck stuck because I was an idiot and tried to take a shortcut which involved trying to ram through a 4' pile of plowed snow at the end of a dead end road that has a no-maintenance dirt road connecting it to the next road 1/4 mile away (technically probably not a road, but everyone takes it). 20 minutes of digging myself out WITH AN ICE SCRAPER and a whole lotta rocking... not really a shortcut

Now the weather guy said we may be getting another big storm next week... but I don't care, I'm ready this time!

Re: How much freaking snow do you have right now.

well, im here in southeastern wisconsin, and we have quite a bit of snow. the city was closed bascially on wednesday.

im the weird one, but i like the snow. i just dont like driving in it as people cant drive in it. pushed lik 7 cars on the way to campus yesterday, as everyone was stuck. i was stuck too. took an hour to dig myself out. shoulda took a picture of it.

and it hasnt been really cold in awhile, so its not too bad. when its under 10 degrees and windy, then its considered cold.

Re: How much freaking snow do you have right now.

We've gotten about six feet so far this year. Makes for good skiing but keeps the roads a bit slick.
