there were only two that broke my heart and one is now one of my best friends.....the way i see dating and breaking up is your on a mission to find the right girl everyone you date has a characteristic you like but some you don't so it doesn't work out.....but when you find the one with all ones you like, you are willing to put up with the minor details......that's my outlook

Well, good luck man... I had thought about moving to oregon recently and found that they're in a really fucked up financial crisis... From what I hear, they're even having to shorten the school years by 5 weeks or so just so they can afford to pay their teachers, and people are getting totally screwed. I hope you've already got work lined up, because their unemployment rate is through the freakin' roof right now.

who says i like girls? :finger: i can't get along with them to save my life.... :hehe:

good call though....if it was something harsh, i would have said something. because there are females up in here, you have to show some respect

as for moving to OR. you're right. don't have a profession and try to move to OR and you're screwed. all the burger flipping, market bag boy, and gas station attendant jobs are taken. however, there is always a need in the skilled professions. if you look in the help wanted ads there are always more skilled jobs listed.

2 summers ago there was a water crisis. farmers were in drought and the local tribe who owned water wouldn't share. it was actually national news. there was no money being made....no money being spent. now that was a fucked up sitituation.

i'm sure parts of OR are having trouble. like bend or ashland where it is more expensive to live. i don't know if you remeber but last year we thought about moving. i found out a 3 bed 2 bath house avg's
$65,000 here
$80,000 medford
$95,000 bend

since he has a skilled profession we can live here and have a house without me working.

looking from outside in.....from a place where say houses cost $100,000+...yea, it's easy to say OR has troubles. but i can tell you from the inside looking out....if you have a profession, it's all good.

ps. about unemployment through the roof. i hate to say it. but there are some small ass cities in OR where the people choose not to work, but to live off welfare. it is so sad to see these little trailor trash cities with 15,000 or less people. of course unemployment is going to seem out of control. did they happen to mention how many of the unemployeed are on welfare? of course not :licker:

Gotta make sure my members are showing some respect. Looking out for ya ami, and the few extra women that are on this forum. no offense there seth. I'm smart though ami, i erased everthing that showed what he said

Civickiller, you got a pm.

Oh yea, back to topic, you gotta love the uneployed people or live off welfare. Makes no sense, when i worked at a grocery store, i saw people with foodstamps driving Excalades(sp?) makes no sense.

my company closed its doors and layed off every employee on Friday. I have a baby due on March 27. I am going to take a month off and draw unemployment, afterall, that is what its for. It seems like you people have no sympathy for those trying to work. Sure i hate welfare bums as much as the next guy, but it is there for a reason.

btw, if anybody knows where any warehousing jobs are for atleast 10 bucks an hour let me know

don't get me wrong. welfare is there for people in times of need. i'm talking about a whole town full of trailors....and not 1 person has a job. i never even knew people lived like that until i moved from CA to OR. as long as you stay away from those area....it's all good. thank gawd OR has more tree & cows than people.

no, i see nothing wrong with people that are tryin to work, but still draw unemployment, or welfare, whatever, but those who just sit back and take the free money without even trying to work for it, it is about as bad as ami says OR is, here in OK. Just think we get a bunch of rednecks, and gypsies that live off that type of thing. No offense to anyone that falls under that category that actually works for their money, but I have seen too many that don't.

So see, 91civic, i have no problem with you. Sorry to hear you got laid off though.

Hmmm ... OR is aight if you have a skilled profession ... hopefully a Business Software Applications Associate degree is enough for SOMETHING ... I kinda wouldnt mind getting out of CA, plus CA/OR border is only like 6 hrs from Napa so I could still visit my family and stuff.
