Ya my dad is selling it b/c of the market value of the car. Hey...Wouldn't you sell if you knew you were gonna make some money out of it?

No, but he did have problems with the brakes failing...The new Senstronic brakes are a new thing for MB so it has bugs for the first MY2003 SL. Its in the shop right now...but this is not the reason we are selling it.

Hello ferrariDude ... wow .. you have many nice cars ..
I think I need advise from you ... in the near future I have plan to buy a sport car for weekend car and my option will be a new 500 SL or Maserati 4200 Cambiocorsa or a used 355 F1 or Porsche 996 C4S ... and you already have the SL and 355 ... Do you have any problem with the 355 reability/durability? How much maintenance cost for 355 yearly? How about the new SL handling? Every input will means a lot to me. Thanks ..

slight correction

Ferraridude, those are not 20 spoke amg wheels. they are acutally a 22 spoke amg wheel that are called turbine wheels, they come as an option for the sl55. you can get them on a sl500 also if you want that option.

hopefully this link will work. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...2/fa456338.jpg

Re: Some pics of our SL55 AMG...

Yes. I see these quite a bit, and yours sir is quite extrodinary. I have noticed on new units that these wheels are very fine and most vehicles have at most, say 5 or 10 grams weight for final balance. Makes for a very fine ride at low speeds. In fact the only wheels I see out of box that are this well balanced or better is O-Z Opera and they are extremely expensive 2 piece wheels.
