Re: Why...?
Hmm to clear up some confusion perhaps I should have linked the pics to their ebay listings..
Let me just note some of my opinions since this thread has turned into an opinionated topic from what I originally wanted. 1 : wire mesh looks like shit. 2 : you dont spray paint a fuse box cover , hoses , door handles , brake fluid cap , and other things like various moving parts which would lead to premature deterioration of the paint and over all look of that area. 3 : The red on white 4g63 was the only one not over done nor did it look stupid. 4 : All of those cars were on ebay for sale and I just don't understand why you would want to sell something like that..makes me question peoples integrity and morale. 5 : The base RS was going for something like 3,900.00 and it was a 1996 I believe and look at the headlight...hence faded comment. As far as the 'girls car with flower seat covers' I doubt any woman in her right mind would take off the heatshield ( or leave it on ) and spend the time to spray paint it blue...This should be obvious. If I were to list a car for sale whether it be locally , long distance or via internet I would make sure to make it as clean looking as possible so I didn't seem like a trashy person. The interior of a car is a certain color for a reason...I think the DSM has a nice match stock with the gray/black clash and all black or tan..whichever the case may be but why turn the inside of you car into 5 - 6 different colors ? People who are offended by me asking for a little clarification are the type of people who 'rattle can' the insides of their cars like I experienced with my first Eclipse. Fiberglass or true staining is a different story though and I appreciate the looks that can be made through fiberglass or stain ie : Blackcrows staining of his plastics I believe it was - they look awsome and not like they belong in a clown-mobile. As far as garret goes , I haven't seen his car so I don't know what he's done to his interior so this is for you garret ( Don't get mad :P ) Being in places like Tucson / Salt lake City and Las Vegas I have seen an overabundance of spray painted civics , preludes , celicas , eclipses, sentras , supras , rx-7 , mx-6's , just about all of it as the whole "Fast & Furious" thing swept through each one. So all in all that's my thoughts on it you don't like it , don't post.

Re: Why...?
For the record, Brian's interior was painted, not dyed. But let me get this straight, just because you don't think that interior should be anything but stock colors, that makes the person trashy and has less of a selling point in a car? Excuse me, but I thought that's what the automotive industry was about, standing out from others. And there's a difference between people that just rattle can their interiors, and people like me and brian who actually take the time to do it correctly. My WHOLE interior was disassembled (not just the front, or certain piece), cleaned, and sprayed. The paint is an actual interior paint (Dupont Vinyl Color), and was purchased from a retail Dupont store. It came in a paint can and was sprayed with a top of the line DeVilbiss paint gun at our shop. It does not look tacky, nor does it look "ricey", it flows with the rest of my car. I can agree that some interior painting can look shitty, but like I said, if the time has been taken to do it right, it looks very nice, especially if it's part of a "theme". The car was not made to be a speed demon, it's an RS and I figured instead of throwing tons of $$ into it and not getting anywhere, make it special in a different way, I'll have the Talon for when I want to go fast.

Re: Why...?
I have to agree with Garrett on this one. I too had my entire interior out of the car and did everything correctly. Although I didn't use Dupont, I used VHT interior vinyl paint and dye. I half thought about doing black, red, and silver tones to the interior, but then decided against it because I wanted it to look more sleek than stand out. It will already get too much attention from people in this town since it will probably be one of the fastest street cars around. The less attention I get, the better. I can already see it being a target for vandals and jealous people...
