I drybrushed it with a mix of Humbrol '33' flat black with a few drops of white. With the flash it looks very 'white' but it's more subtle under sunlight.

Looks great. Did the rims come like that or did you have to paint the black? If so, how do you paint that?

I had to paint the black and I used Windsor&Newton oil paint, it dries slower and can easily be cleaned if I miss something.
