You can if you want to go with either a B16A2, B16A3 get (correct me if I am wrong) a hyro to cable conversion from HAsport. So if you wanted like the JDM A2 or A3 which (correct me if I am wrong) are rated 10hp higher at the flywheel than the B16A. It could be done. And LSD does not mean the end of burnouts it just means you'll need more than a stock B16A to roast'm.

Why would you pay more to get a newer B16A when its really not nessicary? The beauty of having older cars is we can buy older engines for cheaper and swap them in easier. Thats why I think the 1st gen B16 is the best choice. It comes with the cable tranny so you don't have to get one and put it on a newer B16, or convert your 4th gen to hydro. Also, it comes non-OBD so you don't have to do a bunch of wiring to run an OBD ECU, and then deal with all the problems it will likley give you. (not to mention less HP gains from mods)
Also, I think a lot of people are misunderstanding what an LSD does. With a stock open differential (on most Honda trannys) all the power gets transfered to wich ever wheel is spinning the easiest.. Hence 1 wheel peels. With a limited slip it transfers power to both wheels when one begins to slip, so you don't just sit there and rot tires without moving. You'll still be able to do huge burnouts (if thats the thing to do) with you B16 if you want, but you'll start moving a lot quicker and easier with an LSD. I would love an LSD, as my B16 will start to spin the tires from just mashing the throttle in first gear from a roll.. It would be nice to have the traction...
