Boy, you guys (ok, saturntangerine.... gals too) are hilarious!!! But I think we're all in agreement that long distance relationships CAN be an interesting endeavor. And add to the equation (as if we HAVEN'T done enuff math) the Internet, it can be downright scary. I met my last girlfriend thru a chat room/IM. Now that I've broken up with her, though, I've sworn off those accursed things!!!

Use your best judgement, get to know them well enuff that U are VERY comfortable with them, and for goodness sakes, meet in PUBLIC first!!!

I just assumed that everyone did that. That is what I always did when meeting someone from the net. That way, I have an excuse to bounce on them if we didn't click.

I dont think thats what he meant. I think he meant, that if you do decide to meet for the first time, do it in a public place, with people there. Not at their house, or somewhere private.
