Stiffer rear springs do help, but the rear bars change the fulcrum point of rotation so it resists squatting down more than rear springs alone, and without the side effects of running too strong a rear spring.

The putty I use?

The putty I use is "Squadron" fast drying white putty, you can buy it at any upscale model shop. It is the only kind I use, it never cracks under painting or just for the hell of it like the testors putty. I call it my "magic putty" ha ha j/k.

when applying it, what do u use? also, do you let it dry for a couple minutes, so it is like clay?? or do u just squeeze it out of the tube, while it is "gooey" and apply it.. then wait Days? Weeks? Hours? until you can sand...

i am asking this, because ihave squadron, and i can't get it to work well??

Let the putty dry!!!!

you should lay the putty down in medium thick layers and let them dry 24 to 48 hours depending on thickness. If you lay to much down at once it will act like glue and soften and dissolve the plastic. you need to just get used to how much you should lay down at once, once you get the hang off it you will be amazed at the strength of it. for really thick putty spots, once you sand it down to pretty much the surface you want you may have small pores it, just keep filling them with small amounts of putty and smooth and you will be able to paint over it like it was molded plastic.

Great looking kit......hours of work have gone into it.
