Well first off - I am not out to try and get a .500 "perfect" reation time anytime I race my car. My goal is to get down the track as fast as possible and if you think Reaction time makes any difference in you ET then you've never raced before. RT is only used in competition.

All I have done to my car is an AEM CAI - DC TCS Exhaust and DC Header - ecu tuned. Tires are Toyo Proxes T1S up front 205-55-16 and in the rear Eagle HP Ultra 205-55-16. I also have progress springs and the car handles nice.

If you check clubrsx.com I am the 2nd fastest in the nation with the only guy faster being in Houston at Sea Level. I make my runs in Chandler AZ at 1269ft of elevation and warm temps.

On slicks or at Sea Level my car is well into the 13s - If I use the altitude correction factor my best time is a 13.83 which would be the fastest time in the nation but I am not fortunate enuff to live at Sea Level and have nice high barometric pressure and cool just above freezing temps. The RSX S loves cold weather - it bumps up the timing and fuel curve pretty dramatically with its intelligent computer.

You're right, I have never raced before, and my comment earlier was way uncalled for (coming from a person who has never raced). But, I can't understand why reaction time would not play a role in ET. I think I missing something.

The clock doesn't start until your front tires leave the first set of lights. you can wait 5 seconds to take off after the light turns green and the time it takes you to leave the starting line until you cross the 1/4 finish line is only related to how fast you're going from point A to point B.

when you drag race you pull up to a light beam that triggers the first light on the tree and you ease forward until you trigger the 2nd light to come on. You site there until the light is triggered and there will be a countdown like 1 2 3 - you leave on 3 which is actually when the light turns green. you can read the tutorials on drag racing to get a better description of what I talked about. Basically they don't start the timer until your front tire leave the line.

dont worry I didn't take it personally - I'm on the forum to exchange info and learn as well as provide my knowledge based on experience. I have been into racing and fixing up Hondas for quite some time now.

Sorry but the guy you are talking about, and I, live in Austin. Jeramy is a 1/4mile meat head. He lives for the 1/4 mile... and his car looks very plain like yours. As for me, same mods as you and he, and then many more... exterior, interior, sound, etc. I don't like to horsebeat my car, so I don't play the 1/4mile game. I hang out with the guys though. They got me to run one night, and I beat most of them with a 14.68. MY FIRST TIME EVER IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You better make that 3rd,4th, or 5th fastest RSX in the U.S. cuz I've seen alot faster. If you wanna count all motor cars with K20s in them, then there are at least 10 that can beat you...including the one in my garage.

Re: Here's My RSX S and it is the 2nd fastest ALL-Motor in the US - Timeslips here too

Okay, maybe im missing something cause Cybernation Motorsports holds the crown for creating the fastest base model RSX and recently they just created the fastest RSX Type-S, running times like 12.7 and 12.4, so i really don't understand how you can be the 2nd fastest......do u mean fastest stock or what, please be specific
