I may not be classified as a loser, but I am definitly under the classification of nerd. (Many ppl say that a nerd is a loser, but whatever). I spend too much time writing programs in Visual Basic, and sitting on MSN messenger.

At first ppl used to ask "are u a nerd?" and id respond "hell no" but it was pretty obvious. Now when someone asks I say, "damn, right!!", it really fucks with there brain, cause usuially there all ready with a comeback for when im supposed to say "im not a nerd".

Im too streight edge and boring to be "cool" (What is the definition of a so called "cool" person anyways?) cause I don't goto bars, I don't smoke or drink, I don't have a girlfriend (probably due to my laziness ) I dont hang out at the mall (I dont understand the fun in this, if someone can expain this to me, plz do!)

But for now im happy being a nerd / loser. Call me fucked up , call me lazy, but thats me

Well im studying VB as one of my programming languages in my college course. Ive taken 4 semesters of this stuff and now I have a fairly good grasp of the language.

I program tons of stuff for fun, even some really crappy games, I do some DHTML and of course the really dumb apps that they make us create for school projects.

Once I get started on something, I can hardly put it down until its finished. Im obsessed.

Just starting to learn Javascript. Seems interesting so far, once I get good at it, it will probably become my new obsession.

Now if I could somehow become as obsessed with my car as I am with programming, Id have 1 sweeet ride (but it always comes down to the $$$ in the end)

As far as VBA goes, I say yuck!, I do it under protest, but I dont like it. Had to do some VBA with MS Excel and MS Access for class, and I was up all night debugging that crap.

I'm quite a lot like you Hummerman. I love to hang out with friends, and I'm certainly not anti-social or have a stuttering problem because of nervousness, but I don't drink or goto bars, I don't smoke or do drugs, I don't hang out at malls (that has to be the most pointless thing, it's not fun at all. The only guys I see in malls are either "girl guys" as I like to call them - they need to know everything, talk on the phone a lot, need the newest brand name clothes, and hang out in malls - or guys rushing straight to what they need so they can get out ASAP). I mostly drive around, or sit at home playing GT3, computer or models. Doesn't mean I don't have any friends, I just don't need to be with them every day.

I always found the people that I considered cool are the people that are themselves, they're not afraid to hang out with a "retard", not afraid to wear a yellow plaid suit to school as a joke...they're the people that everyone wants to be like because they don't care what people think of them

So, someone who spends $80 on a pair of pants, or $40 on a shirt, always hit the parties, needs to bang a new chick at the end of each week etc. That is considered cool? What about a Class officer, who does not fit this stereotype? Lets say, The Senior class VP, does not waste money on overpriced close. Hits the parties occasionaly, dated a few girls steadily throughout the year. What is he considered then?

Ya Heep!
I agree wit ya 100%, that is a great definition of a cool person. Someone who's not afraid to just be themself, and dont give 2 shits about what others think.

LOL!

Well, VBA is all I get. My employer won't give us VB by itsef because they don't want us building viruses or anything. But, you can pretty much do al the same stuff in VBA. The only part that's a bitch is that the commands vary by application. That drives me nuts!!!

that's like one of the middle people... atleast at my school
except that most people have overpriced clothes, overpriced clothes don't mean the person is cool. It's what clothes you buy, I've seen people wear the ugliest things that look like they're from Value Village or somethin, i look at it and it says Ralph Lauren on it.... it's still ugly and uncool. Plus they have their own little parties... they're not allowed at ours
even though most of the Ralph Lauren stuff is sweet

this is probably different at other schools, but that's how it is here
